Keep your firearms, permits, range sessions, and critical documents organized, so you're ready for a trip, a theft report, an insurance claim, or an estate handoff.
Why it matters
After a theft, during a claim, before a multi-state trip, or while planning an estate, incomplete records get expensive and stressful. Armanac keeps the details together while they're still easy to capture.
Travel
Travel with fewer surprises
Check reciprocity, duty-to-inform rules, magazine restrictions, and permit coverage before crossing a state line.
Theft & claim
Be ready to report and recover
Serial numbers, photos, values, and documents stay connected to each firearm, so a police report or insurance claim starts from records instead of memory.
Training
Turn activity into a usable record
Log rounds and range sessions while they're fresh. See how often you train, which firearms you use, and where your practice is improving.
See it in action
Check a 50-state route, then keep your firearms, permits, and range history together in one private record.
Carry
The 50-state reciprocity map is free on every plan. Constitutional carry, duty to inform, magazine limits, and notable restrictions, all in one view. Add your permits to map personalized coverage and plan multi-state trips.
Every state entry reviewed since May 17, 2026.
The map is for planning, not legal advice. Confirm permits and destination laws before travel.
Collection
Every firearm with make, model, caliber, serial, optics, and value, plus NFA items and tax stamps. Serial numbers and notes are encrypted before they reach the database.
Training
Log rounds, drills, conditions, and ratings for each session. Sessions tie to the firearms you used and can deduct ammo automatically, so the log stays current without extra work.
Recon includes 3 sessions per month. Training is unlimited on Operator and Arsenal.
The output
A stolen-firearm incident report generated from the records you already keep: identification, serial number, value, and incident details, formatted for law enforcement and your insurance carrier.
One click on Operator and Arsenal. Arsenal adds insurance claim packets with photos, purchase details, and values, plus estate distribution paperwork.
Security & portability
Sensitive fields (serial numbers, notes, training locations, and names) are encrypted at the application layer before storage. Armanac runs no ad trackers and does not sell your information. Every plan includes CSV export and an encrypted backup you can decrypt independently.
Your records should remain useful even if you stop using Armanac. The backup format is documented, and one small script decrypts it without an Armanac account. You'll find both next to the export tools in the app. For specifics, read the privacy policy.
I built Armanac because my own records were split between spreadsheets, range notes, permit websites, and a physical binder. I wanted one private record I could export and keep. That's the bar here: encrypted by default, exportable on demand, and yours if you ever cancel.

No internet service is risk-free. Armanac reduces exposure by encrypting sensitive fields (serial numbers, training locations, notes, names, and email) with AES-256-GCM at the application layer, collecting only what the product needs, running no ad trackers, and letting you export your records at any time. All servers are located in the United States.
No. Armanac is a private tool for your personal use. We are not a government entity, we do not report to any government entity, and we do not sell your data or voluntarily share firearm records with third parties or government agencies. We use Stripe for payment processing and a mail provider to deliver login codes. Both are standard infrastructure providers covered in our privacy policy.
The map covers reciprocity, constitutional carry, duty to inform, magazine capacity limits, and notable restrictions for all 50 states. Entries are reviewed and updated when laws change. Browsing the map is free on Recon; saving permits, trip planning, and expiry reminders require Operator. Armanac is for planning only. Confirm permits and destination laws before travel.

No. Sensitive fields like serial numbers, notes, and beneficiary names are all optional. Some users track every detail; others just want the CCW reciprocity map. Both are valid.
A software engineer who carries daily. I built the tool I wanted but could not find anywhere else: private, accurate, and mine to keep.
